Jannah, thank you so much.
I am one of those who did exam on 10 july philadelphia. I am from Pakistan. I prepared for CS 3 weeks. One brother from Syria helped me and gave me isntructions and tricks of what to say, how to say, when to say during the encounter. So, my advice is to sit a few hours with "expert" in CS ( i.e. person who passed CS... that is it!) before the exam.
I did bad in the exam , I did not complete 6 cases, I mean by that, I did not summarize and counsel the patient. But every thing was done as knocking the door, address pt by name, introduce myself, washing my hands, drape the patients...etc.
One trick I learnt from that syrian brother:If time is cosumed and announcement to leave the room and you still exam the pt, then say to the pt that "we have emergency case and I should leave now but do you have any question or concern?" by this 10-second statement you will earn on tick mark because you asked the SP if he has any questions or concern!!
I did not receive my result till now , I hope I will receive it next week. Is there any one that received his result, Imean 10July, phila? what is the result?
I hope to all of you pass this step

philly center is good, staff are very friendly. talk with other examinees before the exam which will bring your tension down. food is ok.you can take your own food if you like. cases are straighforward. relax and be cool, i know its hard to be cool for the first case. after one or two cases everything passes just like that. all the bests.

For rn,
As what drquinty said: you are really fortunate to do your exam at Philly as it is according to my friends experiences, it is the best center of the five with the lowest percentage of failure in contrary to texas center in which two of my friends with 99,99 in both steps and was natched to neurosurgery, they failed in Texas!!!!
People of the center are very kind, please try to enjoy your time and make their mission as easy as you can.
My experience in philadelphia that NEVER NEVER be frustrated if you did relatively bad in 3-6 cases. I mean by relatively: compared to the optimal things. Please, fight till the last case.
One secret thing but don't say it to any one!!: one of the people that assess this exam said that if you do 65% of the checklist that you see in UW or FA we will give you 90%, this means you need to do as low as 50% of the checklist to pass. So why PANIC!!!!
Last word: I passed the exam and received my result yesterday by mail.....

was it afternoon or morning session?i have afternoon session n dont know when it ends.how do we dress for the exam?shud we wear a formal shirt or any tshirt and formal pant will do?

It was morning session. Don't worry, just sleep well the night before and every thing will go as you like.Try to dress formally, shirt and tie... bring your stethoscope... my best adviceis .... fight till the last case, do not say it is over... you are better than you expect and the proof for that you apss alot of exams in the medical schools... so your mentality is enogh to get you passing this exam...

hello Hope,
Allah is the greatest, Thank allah I passed the CS exam and I am now ECFMG certified. I got the certificate 10 days after passing CS. I never imagined to pass... bit this is the truth... so why panic.
I am now applying for this match and please make a supplication for me to get a good position.
