14.F this is just a part of a bigger scenario :

any thrombus in the heart du to : atrial fibrilation, post-MI aneurysm, endocarditis, myxoma, etc can break off and form embolus which most often goes to the brain, hence the CNS symptoms and viscera such as kidney causing infarctions.

29. D this is tunica media containing the smooth muscle component. NO is coming from endothelial cells (that`s why the name is EDRF) and diffused through to the smooth muscle were it produces cGMP adn relaxes the vessel wall.

33. ?

11. C. this is the "Stenson`s duct of parotid", next to the 2nd mollar

18. D. it is just a horseshoe kidney. usually asymptomatic but it can potentially press on the "Inferior messenteric artery"

22. B, that is the prostatic portion of the urethra which is obliterated.

32. i wanted to go with C. as in the "Nutmeg liver" but C & D are essentially the same !!!

so probably the answer is B. that one also can cause cholestasis and damage.

47. D. this is due to PE due to imoobility. the charactristic Wedge-shaped infarct can be seen.
