What does ''MRM'' stand for?

breast cancer+axillary node involvement+estrogen receptor positive+ postmenopausal.....>hormone therapy

the same in premenopausal......>chemotherapy and then hormone therapy

Please let me know if this management is right or not??

MRM: Modified Radical Mastectomy

I think MRM plus postmenopusal-Tamoxifen, and premenopausal -chemotherapy and tamoxifen

  #4

So MRM is a constant part of treatment.

i think to give or not tamoxifen depends upon estrogen receptor ststus

if premenopausal +er pr + give chemo and tamoxife

if premenopausal but erpr_ give chemoand tamoxifen

ifpostmenopausal er pr + gi ve chemo and tamoxifen

if ostmenopausal buter pr_ give chemo only

and combination chemo is better thgent

correcten single a me if iam wrong

reemember tamoxifen is an antiestrogen. however its efficacy will obviously be less in the period when endogenous estrogen levels are high.
thus postmenopausal--> tamoxifen, chemo if required ( forgot when)
premenopausal--> chemo first, add tamoxifn if er/pr positive
