40, B. PCP infection 44. C. it is killed and given parenterally. no exposure of GI tract as opposed to the oral live one.

instead I think 40-d (hiv is also against macrophages) 44-it's because there are more serotypes, one specific for the gut

machrophages in HIV are acting as reservoirs and transporters to CNS. they are infected but not killed. there are 3 serotypes of polio. all included in the vaccines routinly. Note : polio vaccines OPV = Sabin, oral, live attenuated, activates both IgG + IgA IPV = Salk, sc, killed(inactivated), activates only IgG, no enteric or resp. immunity

I think 40 would be B 44 would be A- the advantage of live vaccines is that activate both cell mediated and humeral mmunity where as killed vaccines only activate humeral immunity
