A good way to get some experience is to volunteer in a medical examiner's office. There are less restrictions as to hands on and depending on the size of the office, there can be an ave. of 2-4 patho. docs. I have been doing an externship working in an ME'S office for 3 yrs now and it paid off as far as LORs and contacts.
