can anyone pls tell me
wen to give tamox or anastrazole cos kaplan books give a contradiction in gynae and surg books
pls reply

kaplan says tamoxifen for premenopausal women and anastrazole for postmenopausal women. i checked out anastrazole online, and got same indication.

well dat is true but wat if woman is postmenopausal and er+.....and no anastrazole as choice
then will have to pick up tamox i guess
wat u said is given in surg
gynae doesnt even mention anastrazole

yes, tamoxifen remains a good choice in both pre and post menop wowne so in absence of anastrazole, it will be in order to choose tamoxifen ( except raloxifen is an answer choice)
