Your class, which has 100 individuals, has been typed for a locus that has three possible alleles, labeled 1, 2, and 3. The genotypes and their counts are:

1,1 10
1,2 5
1,3 15
2,2 20
2,3 20
3,3 30

Based on these genotype counts, which is the gene frequency of allele 1?

if 1,1 is the genotype and 10 is the number,

then for allele 1 ,
we get,
1,1 :arrow: 2*10 = 20
1,2 :arrow: 1*5=5
1,3 :arrow: 1*15=15
total= 40

Genotype frequency = 40/200 = 1/5 = 0.2 (here we take 200 in denominator because each of those 100 people will have 2 sets of genes)

you r right meg

thanks
