hello every1!

hey i m looking for sum info regarding prometric centres in pakistan

i m in khi but i m hearing news that the centre in khi is having sum probs so ppl r prefering to take exam in lhr or isb....is there any1 frm khi or any1 who has news regarding this?

shall i take test date for khi or shall i try for lhr/isb????

plz help!

i dont know about khi but i gave the exam from isb prometric centre, if u think that the khi centre wouldnt be open for the dates when u want to take the test then go for the isb centre or the lhr as u wish.. let me know if u need the address or the phn no.for isb...do ur booking just incase..

hi

im not entirely sure but i believe prometric in karachi doesnt sponsor the USMLE anymore..my friend in khi had to go to islamabad to take her step 2..i guess the best way to confirm would be to give them a call

hi...
well the prometric centre is sponsoring USMLE exam in khi.....i scheduled my exam in khi as well coz i m in khi rite now ...but again i heard abt electricity n generator failure n ppl having to stay in centre till midnight to complete the exam..i dunno how much it is true n how much its rumor...but i guess tht coz of this, most ppl r going to isb for exam...i hv been adviced to do so as well so i changed my exam centre n got date for isb
btw all the dates in oct, nov n dec r open in khi centre...

i think prometric has to keep a certain standard to organize these sort of international exams. Electericity should not be a factor and they should have stand-by generators. I dont have my own personal experiences in Karachi. I think you should contact prometric in Karachi and share your concern rather than asking people on this forum about their opinion. If you live in Karachi, certainly its not a good idea to go to islamabad for exam, journey will be a stress, extra cost.

i dont know about staying till midnight..but i can tell u from my own experience that when i took my exam in karachi the electricity failed 3 times..i was lucky that the test restarted..some of my friends who had taken exams before me had to retake the test on another day..but this was abt a year ago and they had improved things by the time i took step 2, when i had no problems. Its true that travelling just before ur exam is an added stress but worrying about whether ull get to complete the exam or not is probably worse.
