Hi friends, I have a very good friend who graduated 9 yrs ago. After sho got married & moved to the states she tried usmle steps but, couldn`t pass. Her husband had a great job so, she gave up on medicine & had 2 kids & was happy to be a stay at home mother. But, recently after her kids started school she started studying for usmle & passed with low scores (76,77), passed CS & she is ECFMG certified. Now, since her scores are very low she knows there is no hope for residency. And, to make her situation even worse, her marriage fell apart & she needs to get a job. What options does she have????? Can she find a research job??? What can she do?? Any one who has gone through something similar or know someone who is working in research please reply. She is very sad & desperate......... Please help my friend.... thanks in advance:

Im sorry to hear her strory. Tell her to grab any job for now but keep applying for residency. There are people who matched with low scores. It may not be State of her choice or it may not be a great hospital. But somewhere she will find something.Good luck to her.
