I am still doing my research based on FRIEDA and it is very common to find more than one IM residency program for the same university/ center. Is there any kind of ranking for the following:
- John's Hopkins - 3 different programs
- Case Western (Cleveland) - 3 different programs
- University of Texas - 6 different programs
My plan is to go for Cardiology after IM program. Can anyone tell the difference between these programs? I believe that each one of them have their own strengths and weakness...

you do not need any ranking now, you have to apply to programs after you aclled or emailed them and asked them their selection criteria.
Ranking is for NRMP.

Thanks Amrihossein! I appreciate your input.
I am trying to get that "general rank" that all of us end up doing in order to decide if I that specific program is worthy or not. If a program is a way out of my criteria or if it has a very bad reputation, I won't waste money and time applying to that specific program. That is the reason I am asking.
ANd I thought that studying for USMLE was the worst part...I can tell you that I changed my mind. This application process is much worse!
But at the end everything will work just fine.

u can check out reviews on scutwork
also notice 1,2,3,4,5 labelling in freida indicating whether its main uni prog (1) or uni affil comm (5) or plain comm with no uni affil.. some like mayo and cleveland will b numbered as others
the main uni is usually better than the uni comm. exceptions do exist. u must try to see how strong the connection is in terms of lectures. remem most of the crappy ny comm progs are affil with cornell and nymc and other big shot places..
it appears to be overwhelming at first. but trust me u will get a hang of it pretty soon..
