hi ethics... presently i am only reading from notes. i had started listening to dvds along with notes wen i was doing surgery, but it was taking a lot of time. so i dropped that idea and started with only notes. i am thinking of doing dvds along with 2nd read...... so wat topic are u currently doing?

usmlegirl, the surgery videos have limited usefulness..the nly difference is that he guy reads of from the clinical vignettes, whilst the r the second section in kaplan. id definitiley put the surgery video lower in my priority list.
ppl do start doing qs..get a simple q source..even pretest i guess wud do..and when u feeel ure staring at the book for hours yet not completing stuff, start doing those...ethics, i think emergency management wud be painful to read without q..they all sound the same otherwise

hey study_ing. thanks a lot. i was also bored of doing the videos coz it was mere repitition. i do not have pretest, but have kaplan q book, which is useful only after completing a subject. still will try to get hold of qs. thanks.

dear usmle girl..kaplan q book shud be done with the first read..IM is mixed, otherwise the remaining subjects are tested separately...so its still dooable. pretest is not a must..i mentioned it coz i remember someone posted a free link for it..any q source will do, but kaplan q book is preferred.

hi ethics.... psy is very good. actually its same as behavioral science. so its easy. today also i did psy. actually med was taking me a lot of time coz i was not serious. so thought of doing a light subject for a while before going back to med..... i dont know whether this is a good decision or not.GL to u.

done with psychiatry 20 chapters .
still have to do biostats, epedemio, and public health....... i hate doing these . but will have to do it..... thinking of giving 2 - 3 days to it and get done with whole of psy....

hi people. i am done with psychiatry. now starting with obgy. started antenatal care and fetal wellbeing today. my target is to complete obgy by end of this month. its a little difficult for me to do that much, but will try.
i wonder where is everyone else. what is ethics doing? guys please reply. lets help out each other.

my prep is a big disaster i dont know why i am not able to sit and read ..i left my IM and started with peds. but now i am thinking i will finish of listening to all tapes by this month ending so that i can sit and read.in oct

hi ethics.. don't worry. consider it as a part of mle preps. i was also worried a lot and got frustrated last week coz cud not finish as much as intended to. and i can also not sit for hrs together and concentrate. but was happy that atleast step by step i am completeing first reading of subjects. IM is tiring and taxing, i agree. so its good u started with peds. then u can always get back to IM, feeling fresh.
when are u planning to take the exam?
i will carry on with OBGY. till now just completed 1 chapter . i cant study on weekends.
anyways, GL to u and let me know how much u finish.
