The base sequence in template strand is GATCTAC. What is the base sequence of the RNA product?
The Template they give you is in a 5 to 3 direction 5GATCTAC3 but we need it to be 3 to 5, so re-write it in the 3>5
3CATCTAG5 this is our real Template, then just fill it and replace T for U
5GUAGAUC3 this would our mRNA, right?

In they ask to extract the mRNA from the coding region, it would be the same except that you would have to substitute the T for U.
