while evaluating a 19yr primi at term,the dr notices a split S1, normal s2, s3 easily audibe., 2/6 esm greater during inspuiration, and a soft diastolic murmur. you note that:

a) s3 is abnormal

b) esm is abnormal at term

c) diastolic murmurs are rare in pregnant womwn

d) presense of s3 and diastolic murmur is an abnormality

e) all findings noted are normal

som, cud u please mention the source of this question..i still cant think of a diastolic murmur as normal in pregnant pts

How can a diastolic murmur be normal? I´m shocked! Need to study more cardio!!!
