For those of you who have already taken the exam (and for anyone who knows about this), I have a question pertaining to the question length on the real exam. Is it comparable to the lenght of questions on USMLEworld? Also, is it advisable to take NBME self-assessment and if yes why? Thanks!

In my opinion, questions in the real exam are shorter than UW, I ended up each block with a few more minutes to spare compared to a regular 46 q UW block. But I’ve read a lot of post saying the opposite thing, guess nobody gets the same set of q on the real thing. Regarding NBME, I would recommend to take it, it’s a good tool to asses which are you weak areas. And (I can’t say this fore sure because my score has not been reported yet) many people says it is a good predictor in your overall performance and the real score. GL

Just took the test 3 days ago. Questions are comparable to length of USMLE world questions, some are even shorter

GDS 2008 ive heard variable opinions abt the q length. majority report it longer or equal to UW but some also say its shorter..my opinion dont rely on it. be prepared for the worst 9 long and dragging qs) but time ur blocks in slots...eg abt x qs in x minutes...i found it really helpful in step 1 ( thoigh length wasnt really a problem there) and intend doing the same for CK
