Hey guys, what does a low NBME score mean. I mean as low as 400!!
Also, how do you know the correlation between the NBME scoe and the USMLE 2 digit score?

Thanks study_img. But if someone with NBME of 460 was correlated with a scoer of 82-86, where does that place someone with a score of 400 for goodness sake!!!! Gosh!! This is terrible!!! It seems 400 is a terribly low score!!

In addition, my UW scores range from 50% - 55%. That's bad right?

well UW scores ar e not bad..its supposed to be tough... i really dunno about NBME scores coz i never planned to take them. however honestly speaking NBME is supposedly the best predictor of ur real performance..y dont u delay the exam ( how far away is it any way). ...look over all your UW explanations' notes once again or twice and retake another form..

A 400 is not the end of the world, it is a passing score. According to the correlation that NBME gives when you take the practice exam your predicted score is 191; which would be a 2-digit score somewhere in the upper 70s. However, other correlations made from other sources put a 400 on the NBME in the 205/83 neighborhood. 55% on UW is not terrible either; it would put you right in the mid to low 80s range.

Thanks a lot guys. I wonder if I made a mistake taking the Form 3. That is the newest form that was recently added, and as I heard, it is the most dificult. I took it because I wanted to take the most dificult form, and look what happened!! I will take form 1, which is supposed to be the standard form, and I will see what my score is. You cna't imagine my shock seeing 400 on the screen. God forbid!! What a terible score. AS you have said, it co-rrelates with a score in the higer 70s. No way!!

mu,
dont feel bad.. i only got 460 on form 3 two days before my real exam.. form 3 is definitely harder than the previous two.. yet i only got 350 on form 1 ( one month and half before the exam) and had a hard time wondering how da heck i did so poor on it..
