Can someone please explain the answer of this one to me, I don't understand it:

A neoplasm in the colon invades thru the basement membrane into the lamina propria. Which of the following preotins is directly involved in the process of invasion?

a) apc gene product
b) p53 protein
c) ras gene product
d) rb gene product
e) collegenase type 4

i made a typo, that should say "proteins" not "preotins"...sorry

e. the question basically wants to know which enzyme aids in penetration of BM ...the remaining geneproducts are involved in carcinogenesis but have dif roles..eg tumor supressor, growth factor receptor..but collagenases help degradation reired for invasion
