what i value most and try to come up with are 'approach to ' questions..i had planned to make an approach to thread and summarize the relevant threads so that newbies dont get lost as i did frequently on the forum..however in my previous step i lost track and was pressured for time..lets hope i get to do this now..

I donīt know if the USMLE people think this way when making those questions but follow this in order, and you sometimes will know whatīs next:
1.Hx (always #1, if itīs in the option choose it)
2.Physical (normally they give us this one, so they can hit us with 3,4,5,6,7, and 8)
this is on chart orders:
3. diet: NPO, soft, etc...
4. nurse: clean the wound, observation, call frank if patient is dying, etc...
5. labs (cheap ones): CxR, EKG, ABG, CBC, etc...
6.labs (super ultra expensive ones, never before 5.) CT scan, MRI, angiogram, etc...think money
7.treament: drugs, prophylaxis, anything IV, IM, PO, ...
8. others: anything else that you think is pertinent and doesnīt in 1-7.

I have been following your thread 'pearls..' Some of the threads I had already visited but thanks anyway for taking the trouble.
If you happen to read old threads that you think is a real gem in terms of preparing for Step 2 (could be exam strategies, stress relief technique, Q n A, resources you name it) please do post here. For example : I followed a link somebody(?you ) posted in a recent post how LisaM and Kingsofke did their prep for CK.That was a real gem.That quickly gave me an idea how should I proceed and what should I expect.Those kinda stuffs could be buried in a heap of low yield posts.

ur really an angel for us(all newbies+other members on forum)....posting all the good old posts links which are buried deep....as our patience wears out soon trying to find out something....alwaz think will come next day but by next day there are dozen new posts :-)
