HERE what i think is increase hydrodtatic pressure , as this is a case of CHF which had transduate in it. so oncotic pressue is not increased! tell me whatz the ans ?????

hey guys its a right heart failure and i was just wondering cant it be damged liver producing less protien.

Its classic CHF, there is increase pressure in the venules with resultant backpressure on cappillaries, causing inc hydrostatic pressure. This will result in a transudate in peritoneal cavity & all dependent areas of the body like feet / sacral region etc..

@ muzammil: stasis liver does not produce such a severe damage. It raises a little bit the transaminases because of the fatty change but otherwise the liver function is normal.. but PAINFULL. don't try to look only in one direction (what writes in the books is just one side of the whole problem). while answering a Q try to see the whole picture. Try to remember how the disease looks like live in the patient (remember the cases that you saw in the hospitals) and if you didn't see any of that, while learning about diseases try to make an image inside your head and add to that image some more details each time you come across it again!
