Hi guys, this is my first post but have been a constant visitor to this forum and really appreciate individual contributions. I just want to know if anyone passed nbme but fail the real exam. Is there any experience of such? Why i asked this question is that am really freaking out, gave my exam recently but had a very brutal experience, was almost guessing the whole thing. I felt soo awkward and dejected after the exam. Studied for apprx 4 mths and nbme 2 was 550 6 days b4 the exam. Nbme 1 450 3 weeks b4. Pls i need urgent opinion about this.

hi, Please put some input to this issue cuz I am also going through the similar situation. I took NBME 2 three weeks ago and scored 330 ....then I just took NMBE 1 two days ago and scored 510..I am really confused and terrified that if I will be able to pass...my exam is in 2 days...I will really appreciate your replies...thanks in advance

Sounds like both of you will do fine. Post or pre exam jitters are normal. Since you both raised your second NBME scores into the 500's after your first exam, I think it's safe to say you will probably end up in the 80's in the worst scenario and the 90's in the best.

In my case NBME did not prove correct. I took NBME 3 weeks before exam.Scored 340..which is a fail. But passed CK. I did not bother to take NBME again and went to the exam straight away. I think from most of the posts i have analysed that NBME is not a good predictor for step2 as it is for Step1.
