A soft-walled cannula containing a pressure transducer is placed at a location distal to the ileocecal valve in a healthy adult subject. Resting pressures measured over a 1-hour baseline period ranged from 20 to 25 mm Hg above atmospheric pressure. Intraluminal pressure measured at the cannula location fell to 0 mm Hg when the immediate upstream segment of gastrointestinal tract was distended. No defecation occurred upon this stimulus. What is the location of the pressure sensor?

A. Ascending colon
B. Cecum
C. Descending colon
D. External anal sphincter
E. Internal anal sphincter
F. Rectum
G. Sigmoid colon
H. Transverse colon

i dont think the resting pressure in rectum is 20 - 25 higher than atmospheric pressure and not external sphincter bcz it wud have produced defication on relaxation.
