Hi folks,
These are not the standard USMLE questions,in the sense that there is more than 1 correct response to each. Just trying it out to make the concepts more clear.

1) over concern with physical appearence may be a symptom of:

A) body dysmorphic disorder
B) anorexia nervosa
C) depression
D) schizophrenia
E) borderline personality disorder


2) the following are important in assesing the risk of violence in a patient:

A) the ethnic origin of the patient
B) previous h/o violence
C) h/o poor compliance with treatment
D) h/o deliberate self harm
E) the presence of persecutory delusions


3) For a newly diagnosed patient with schizophrenia:

A) the longer the duration of prodromal symptoms the longer the time to remission
B) duration of illness predicts frequency of relapse in the first 2 years after diagnosis
C) the patient tends to have impairements in neuropsychological functioning which change little over time
D) lower level of remission is associated with lower social class
E) the first 2 yrs of illness appar to predict the chronic course of that illness
