Please, any suggestions? The following fetal parameter is MOST useful in assessment of gestational age in 2nd trimester A) biparietal diameter B) crown-rump length C) mean diameter of gestational sac D) abdominal circumference E) head circumference A multiparous woman complaints of decreased fetal movements at 36 weeks gestation.On examination the uterine size was equivalent to 32 weeks gestation. FHR was 130/min.What is the next step? A) reassure her that the baby is alright B) arrange her follow-up visit nest week C) arrange her for an oral GTT D) prescribe multivitamins E) arrange for a cardiotocograph

msyamp, y wud we simply arrange a fup visit for an sga baby with decreased fetal movments?..i think B wud only hold true if a was correct...hence i wud eliminate it

1st q : A is similar to E, so they get eliminated. Crown rump length is the best in 1st trimester. i go for D!! 2nd Q : I agree with study_ng and choose E, we have to be 100% that baby is ok.

here is a similar que: 27 yr G3P2002 34wks gestation c/o decreased fetal movts for the past several hrs, her baby has moved only once per hr. she is healthy had regular prenatal checkupsand denies any complications so far during present pregnancy. what do u counsel her now: a) reassurance b)recomend to admit for delivery c) tell her probbly baby is sleeping n ask her to monitor fetal kicks. if she still reports decreased movts ask her to follow up the next day d)instruct pt to go to labor and delivery and schedule NST
