Hey guys, I wanted to know how high yield is it to know how to calculate deficits and what kind of fluids to give to an infanct with dehydration. In kaplan peds, there is a chapter involved that shows you how to calculate based on weight and other things, do they actually expect us to calculate this on the boards??? Any help would be appreciated.

if you have time, go ahead... during my prep I have found 2 or 3 questions, that test your habilities on doing the calculations. advise: do as much as you can.
