Al7amdolilla  ..... i received my score on 5th of august it was 99/253.... u cant imagine how much i was euphoric when i saw the score..... especially that i ve just done CS exam which was a tough one!!! i hope i can pass it !!!!
on 12 march i began studying after doing step 1 on 10 march..... i studied for 4 months ...... only serious in the last 2 months ....... i used kaplan notes , crush the boards and usmleworld.... i did only 8 blocks from qbank and only 4 blocks from qbook ..... my scores in usmleworld was about 76 ( range : 65-90) ..... i studies kaplan notes twice.
few points about kaplan and the exam:
medicine: this is the most important part in exam and fortunately it is the Kaplan's best book .... study all subjects well..... this subject must be ur first priority .... DONT COMPROMISE!!!
Ob-Gyn: i think it is the 2nd most important and frequent subject in exam.... Kaplan is good but not to the levle of medicine book. if u think og Blueprints it is too much for the exam unless u have a plenty of time ...... in the exam everything can be tested ..... pregnancy complications .... STD's ... PID .... vaginal discharge ....... SO MAKE IT UR SECOND PRIORITY...
ped.: I was shocked with i had in the exam...... i ve heard from my friends and guys in this forum that it is the easiest part and all what u need to study is development and vaccines .... but in exam it was examined as much or more as gyne . it includes ...... neonatology... infectious ..... cardiology..... GI.... and other aspects of peds.... SO BE CAREFUL AND DONT THROW IT AWAY ....
surgery: kaplan is great in trauma...... but to tell u the truth ..... u need to study other aspects of surgery including acute abdomen and postop complications...
psychiatry: THIS WAS THE MOST WIERD PART OF EXAM...... I WAS WARNED ABOUT IT BUT THAT DIDNT MAKE ME STUDY MORE SERIOUSLY AND TO TELL U THE TRUTH .... EVEN IF I STUDIED KAPLAN THOUSANDS TIMES I WOULDNT HAVE DONE BETTER IN EXAM...... VERY WIED QUESTIONS...... DONT KNOW WHAT TO TELL U !!!!!
behavioral and biostatistics: same as step 1 ..... few questions .... ethic questions are not easy to choose the RIGHT choice.....
USMLEWORLD: it is really great source ..... simply because it is the most similar to exam in terms of difficulty and time requirements !!! .... i started UW scoring in mid 60's and ended in 80's with an average of 76 ..... I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS SOURCE OF Q'S
CRUSH THE BOARDS: in the last few days u need a book for quick review ...... i dont know how much it contributed to my performance ..... but i think it is mandatory!!
i had my exam on 10/7 and my score was reported 2/8..... received on 5/8

PLZ do me do3a'a ( plz pray for me) so that i pass CS exam !!!

dragonfly ..... thanx for ur words and for explaining the arabic word.....
study_ing : 7 was intentional .... i used it instead of H coz there is a letter in arabic that its shape is similar to 7 .... this is commonly used among arabs over the net!!
