This really puzzled me when I was working on my application on ERAS. I was asked "Will you or your medical school provide a MSPE to the ERAS Documents office at ECFMG". My answer is no but if I say "no" will ECFMG do this for me on my behalf? Any advice please?! thanks a lot

Thanks, Chemamr, for answering this question but I do not quite understand what you exactly meant. Could you please elaborate more? What did you do for this inquiry? Did you write up the mspe or ask your school to write it up? If we say "no" to this, how big impact "no" would have on our application? Thanks

call ur school. they should atleast give u a deans letter if not a 4page mspe. otherwise ecfmg/eras will give a neutral filler letter

apurva is right.

in my case, my school hadn't made any MSPE before so i had to do it in english and then i went with my dean and he just signed it up.

Again, MSPE isn't mandatory for IMG's - don't worry about it. If you have a dean's letter that will work. Even if you don't have a dean's letter - PD's know that many overseas schools don't work the same way as mainland schools.
