A 19yr old woman is brought to the ER following a crush injury when a dumpster landed on her lower body.during her hospitalization she develops reddish urine and her creatinine levels rise from 1 to 4 mg / dl.she also develops edema globally.her physician decides to prescribe a diuretic to allieviate her edema and minimise furthur damage to the kidneys from her myoglobulinemia.which of the following diuretics is contraindicated in this case?
A. Acetazolamide
B. furosemide
C. hydrochlorthiazide
D. Mannitol
E.Spironolactone

Is there something related to pH of urine?

in rhabdomyolysis we have myoglobinuria and also increase levels of plasma K, phosphate, uric acid. So it is contraindicated a K sparring diuretic which will worsen the hyperkaliemia.
