hi,
the word limit for personal statement on aamc/eras website is 28,000 characters including spaces while most people say it is good to have a personal statement that is just one page long. Using microsoft word, a single page personal statement is not more that 4,000 characters. any ideas on this discrepancy ? BBB ?

pds like the headlines. stick to 1.25 page in 12 font in msword smiling face

If I had to read a 4-5 page personal statement for every applicant, I might actually look like the avatar of the character banging the head to bits.

Stick with 1 to 1.5 pages.

i agree..keep it short and concise ...any write gets boring when its too long..

Think of "War and Peace" if your personal statement get's too long.
