The American Dream

¨ You have studied hard and now want to pursue training in the United States…

¨ Do you feel overwhelmed? Inadequately prepared? Unanswered questions?....

Then Come to Philadelphia, the birthplace of American Medicine. We will teach you the proper way to prepare for and crush the USMLE Step II CSA examination. In addition, you will have ample time to meet the faculty for advice regarding the ERAS system and NRMP process. Our dedicated faculty has over 50 years experience in residency education and presently are the Program Directors at several Philadelphia hospitals. Global Health Educators strategic partnering with several academic medical centers makes your success almost a guarantee!

Course Features:

¨ USMLE Step II CSA examination preparation.
¨ How to navigate the NRMP and maximize your chances to match at the program of your choice.
¨ How to distinguish yourself and make your application more competitive.
¨ Opportunity to meet the Program Directors for career counseling.
¨ Four week hospital based clinical observerships available by special invitation/application.
¨ Letter of recommendation available upon completion of observership.

Course Description:

1. USMLE Step II CSA one day course features include: communication skills, focused medical history, focused physical examination, patient note writing and real time simulated examination. There will be ample time for direct feedback from not only the standardized patients but also attending physicians regarding your performance. In addition, the course directors will be available for one on one counseling regarding the residency application process and how to pursue residency training in the United States.
2. Observership: multiple observership sites will be developed throughout the country with the initial hospital rotations available in the Philadelphia area. The scholarship program is designed to allow the candidate to experience U.S. Medicine in an attempt to distinguish his/her application and increase their chances of obtaining a competitive residency position. Ample time will be devoted to counseling regarding how to navigate this complicated system. In addition, a summary evaluation letter will be drafted on behalf of the candidate for their permanent file.

Criteria for Admission to Observership include:

1. Strong academic performance
2. Strong USMLE Step I and Step II scores.
3. Medical School transcript.
4. Three letters of recommendation including one from the Dean of your Medical School, one from a non-related faculty member and/or attending physician, one additional letter of recommendation from a non-relative attesting to your moral character.
5. Proof of U.S. citizenship or Visa status (we do not sponsor Visas).
