Cos Lors will help you only if they are "strong" or "excellent", otherwise they won't, maybe they could hurt you. This is why some sources advise to always look at the content of what you send to progs, and to not even send it at all if you can't do so. This is what I have found in my brief investigation but you know amygdalaa, I'm an unexperienced applicant wandering in the desert of the match, looking for an oasis. And time is starting to be an issue coz I ran out of water...

1. Is it true that a 2 pages Lor is better than 1? 2. can the doctor I know call directly the PD of my choice even if I haven't been called yet for an interview? should he call him/her after I get the invitation for the interview?

wamba, Well, I am quite certain the letters will be good. Thanks. Dont worry, this process is like never-ending with no oasis in sight, however little by little you will get done. But there wont be an oasis until march. . take care So next week is our CS oasis update week?

Yeah Man, a city of art, nice people, nice food, nice weather, nice beaches, many many things to see. The only drawback is the lack professional opportunities, which is a number one factor of life and the main reason (maybe the only one) why I would leave. But before I leave, amygdalaa, if you come around I would be honored to host you.

If I get three "excellent" LORs from 3 american doctors in private practice in rural areas, would it worth it?

Wamba, I wish I could come. I do need a vacation from this USMLE crap. about the LORs- they should do well. They are better than nothing or foreign letters.
