Hey Joel, To answer your question: I interviewed at 15 urology programs. Applied to gen surgery but cancelled all my interviews because of financial issues and because gen surgery is nowhere as fun as urology.

Maverick, if you want to enter surgery this year, rank prilim also. One my friend, with 12 IV for urology did not get match this year.

hey abraham, well the place was fine. not my top 3, but not my bottom 3 either. good program. u were asking about the IV so that was what i remember other than few details. how have ur IVs been pretty confusing making the ranklist. not putting prelims as dont wanna go thru uncertainty, esp with J1 visa, which reduces chances of 2 yr fellowships.

hey guys, I'm gonna apply for surgery,too...in CA.. so there is only a way to be matched witha J1????that sucks..as I know, you got to leave the US after 2 years and will not be able to apply for any kind of VIZA before beein 2years outa country...oryou can go on with the specialty till your done so far??? (5years surgery)
