hey guys. is it worth calling programs that haven't replied yet (as in, they have given invitations and rejections to other ppl). or..can we assume that we are either on hold, or not worthy of a letter (2 extremes)

BitterPill, you called to find out about rejections?? I thought all programs were courteous enough to send a notification whether they want you or not....
Thanks csdude, so i assume that iŽll have to call or mail, as bitterpill did, to find out about my status in conemaugh.

i called up some programs today and they say they do not call or send emails of rejection cos of the volume. so no news may be bad news!!! it is best to call to confirm your status. however, a lot of the gen surg are not yet closed so they are still reviewing applications. some will continue till Jan.

Has anybody thought of Interventional Radiology - if so any hints on how competitive the Radiology is nowadays. I went through the forum - 99 s does not seem good enough. ??
Wish nobody has to switch - just interesting.

Interventional Radio is a fellowship. Radiology is the same as surgery for IMGs. USCE plays an important role.
