PLease guys I need you help...

I has applied for clerkship when I was in final year about 2 year ago ..

MAYO clinic accepted my application but unfortunatelly I was not issue visa as this happened to most of IMG.... I had no chance to reapply for visa as my date of clerkship was started so leaave that stuff.

As you all know that USCE is must now for all the IMG....... now I am graduate ..

If now I go to Mayo clinic are request the Concerned clerkship department to allow me to take clerkship ... would It be possible??? I will repay the clerkship fee...

plus I have come to know that MAYO CLINIC accept application from medical student for clerkship for those student who have passed step 1.

Any suggestion will be highly appreciated

thanks

GL

Once you have graduated, you cannot do any official clerkship/elective in the united states, you may be eligible to be an observer. Call mayo clinic and see if they can take you as an observer since you are already in their system. Good luck.

bhagat is absolutely right! unfortunately u can't do any electives now.......but obsvrshps and perceptorshps will help you get a few LORs, which will b pretty handy for ur match!!

Can't get that 'must USCE' thing.....never heard of it b4?

anyways best of luck!

USCE is not mandatory for all programs. Many require it, many do not.

I've worked in 3 internal medicine programs since 1988 - none have required USCE. My current program is a name that most would recognize.

Good luck
