my scores are 83/82, I am a 2005 grad from india. no usce, cs this month end. do you think i stand a chance for 2007 match in FP or Psychiatry?

Ofcourse you do! Work on your application. CS is a breeze for most IMGs. Scores usually help get you interviews but are not the only ones that matter. Once you get interviews its all about you.

A good CV(CV has its limitations but can definitely be improved if well written), a meaningful PS, good LoRs... go a long way in improving ones chances. Can also definitely work on ones interview skills if needed(generally most Indians are good at this)May be some research if possible! Most PDs look for some clinical experience after grad (preferably USCE-I know hard to get hold of!).

hookorcrook is absolutely right. don't lose heart radhika. improve your cv with observerships/ possible research experience. Most importantly.... be confident. scores go as far as getting u the interview. but then on.... it's u who matters. PDs would definitely like a confident and intelligent young aspirant who can work as a team.

How many prog do i need to apply to?
What sort of prog should i apply to increase my chances of getting an interview call?
Do you think I can apply to h1 prog?
