Hi all,
I am a 4th year caribbean med student and applying this year for match for IM...I have my step 1 score (82) and taking Ck pretty soon. I want to apply with better CK score since step 1 score are not so great. The problem is that that I had intially scheduled my step 2 CK so I would get the result by or b4 sept 1st., however, according to usmle bulletin....I wont be able to get my step 2 result until sept 13....Now the question is should I wait for the result and then apply after sept 13...or I should just apply on sept 1st without my CK result.
Please help me with this situation..cuz I am really confused .

From what I know...september 1 is the fabled and time-honored date for applications...but I believe it has become so legendary due to the inherent IMG insecurity which doesn't want to take any chances..and its justified.
Personally I feel, applying anywhere upto ct 1st week should be jsut as good...yeah...but after that..things get kind of messy..
Maybe some guys with more experience will add here...this is just what I personally feel..

ou shud send in applications by september-01 if ur definetly going in for this years match regardless of when ur step-2 ck results come.
the eras will get updated as and when ur results get published.
delay will not do any good.
