if u r not applying to the same programs again n obviously not attending the same interviews, is there a way ppl get to know u've missed a match. i mean do they really bother so much. i heard so many things- possibly rumors though. i will not be ready until october beginning with my scores n stuff. i really wanna apply to this match. doesnt matter even if i dont make it. i will apply for the next one. but i just want to try this one. who knows if luck favors i might end up matching this time itself. any input will be appreciated.

I can see nothing wrong with applying in october beginning...true..people advise to apply ASAP on september 1..but I believe, as longas you apply reasonably early..i.e...anywhere upto oct 1st week, you should be just fine... ask others too though....bbb perhaps..or some guys who have already matched...

Yes ur true. BBB mentioned before that they donot review applications until the beginning or mid october. perhaps an early application makes a difference but probably mid october shud be ok. thanks for all the info.
