Kaplan Qbank USMLE

I just finished my CK. If I could get five more minutes in every block, I would make a big difference. But right now I am really in hell. Every block I marked 10 to 15 questions that I was not sure. Maybe I have to go the test center again for my CK in three months.

Just like everybody who came out the test center of Ck said, the questions in the real exam just like the questions in UW. However I think those guys who make up the question in Ck exam do a great job, even better than the people in UW. The pathophysiology is heavily tested and they keep asking me what the main mechanisms of these diseases or those disorders are. Personally, I don't think the Kaplan notes are enough. If the notes are only one you have, you should better us the newest version. I used 2002 version and now I am regretting very much.

Whatever I pass or not, I have to move forward. The CS partner is still needed.

Hi dtt,

the frustration after the exam is norm for most of us. but things done are done. we can't change and hope for the best. thanks for sharing ur experience. cud u pls tell abt the length of the que in ur real exam? what percent of que r long per each block? i was reading only kaplan notes n doing UW. as u said pathophysiologyy was tested heavily, what books do u think u might have read before the exam to brush up the pathophysiology?

thanks in advance.

hey Som

There are 5 or 6 page-longed questions in every block, even more in first 3 blocks. After first three blocks, I relieved a little bit.

The Kaplan notes and UW focus more on the diagnosis and initial and best managements. They do not put more attention on the pathophysiology. But those kinds of questions kept being asked in my exam. Maybe this is my personal experience. The only suggestion I can give you now is to review the main mechanisms of dz in your studying, not only diagnosis and management.

Compared with step 1, the clinical science are updated very, very quick. Trying to using the newest materials as you can. What you should use? I totally have no idea
