what do you guys think about Qbook? Is it easier, harder, not as good, as good as UW? My friend has about 1 week before the CK step 2 exam and has been doing only Qs from kaplan Qbook and was wondering if he should bother with UW. I used UW and told him it was great, but than again I didn't use any other sources. Any feedback would help him out a lot.

i havent used either..am new to the forum...but common opinion is that usmleworld is definitely better

it does not make much sense to start something afresh now. if his exam date is rigid and if he is feeling confident then dont bother him. if there is any remote possibility of extending the exam date then UW is worth its time. in any case, if has finished solving q-book he has 2 options: a. review the marked/tough q's from q-book; b. solve CVS and RESPI from UW (medicine only). hope this helps

Q book is good source of questions but its definitely easier than UW.I felt the questions in Q book pretty much gave away the answers(you'd know what they want half way through the q stem).....which isn't the case with UW and cetainly not the case in the real deal.I think it is imperative that one goes through UW for this exam.The only thing I am concerned about is that your friend has just a week before his exam...can he push it back? cos UW is worth its weight in gold!

Thanks for the replies, I totally understand both of your posts. I too agree that UW is very very helpful and I can also understand that my friend isn't going to change his test date and he basically only has 5-6 full days to study and that isn't enough to get thru world. I think the final word from my friend is he's just going to finish Qbook (about 250 Qs left) and do some light reviewing for the last few days. thanks for the imput!

I am in the situation close to your friend my exam is in one week and im done with UWand q book ...havent done the q bank and definitly advice him to not bother himself with UW right now bcs the onlything happens is he will lose his confidence bcs they r really hard qs..but if he still wants to try maybe i can help..
