Here is the ques:
9 mo old baby is evaluated for hemolytic anemia. The oxygen dissociation curve is shifted to the right. Which enzyme deficiency is most likely related for this Pt's condition?

its pyruvate kinase deficiency in glycolysis pathway.it causes increased 2-3 bisphosphoglycerate and shifts oxy-hb curve 2 right.due 2 inadequate ATP in rbcs NA-K ATPase function decreases and rbc swells which leads 2 osmotic fragility.rbc loses its biconcave shape and signaled for destruction.....leadin 2 hemolytic aneamia
