I know this issue has been brought up and discussed many times already in this forum but do not seem to touch the issue of social security number.

If you dont have one, how on earth are you going to complete the application? Quote as 'socail security number is mandatory'.

Is it true that most California Universities/communities accept the people with greencard or citizenship? They dont sponsor H1 but J1?

thanks
