Thanks, I took my exam today and questions are different. I'm so upset now, lots of questions about experiment that I've never heard about them.
Each block has at least 5 questions about experiment.
No questions about Gi. Gs. Gq. Tyrosine kinase receptors.
Only 1 question about Lysosomal disease: Tay Sachs.
2 questions about glycogen disease.
Lots of questions about Micro, Immuno, Patho, Neuro..
Physio and BS: few, most BS questions are doctor-patent relationship, 2 questions about defense mech, no questions about personality, no qs about developmental milestone.
I felf my exam is weird and is for researchers, I prepared very well about toxins, receptors, glycogen disease, lysosomal disease, personality disoder, cardiac disease and drugs... but very few questions about them.
I do not know if I can pass.

Dont worry yaar ... every body get such experimental Q .. I am sure you will succeed with 99%....
If I ask you for overall exam what you say.. In each block are there about 30 to 35 Q doable?
as other says that is one worse block and rest are doable .. do you have the same experience??

Robin please don't loose your hope, it may not have been what you expected, but I'm sure your knowledge about other subjects has been really good too and you will pass the exam with a great score. You deserve it and you're going to get it hopefully

Hi all,
ABout 30-35 questions/block I could realize the disease and choose the answers easily.
But each block I marked at least 10 question to re-read.
Gross Anatomy seems to be easy, 2 qs about brachial flexus and 2 qs about lower limb flexus. 3 qs about histology but easy.
The hardest questions are about molecular biology and Pharmacology. For Molecular biology qs start like: an experiment or a researcher....blalalala and the answer choice are weird. For Pharmacology, they give figures that we never see in Kaplan notes.
I had at least 10 qs about neurology but they are easy, symptoms given then lesion site asked.

Robin you will definitely get 99. from previous posts it seems the exam tests more of basic understanding. the more sound your basic underrstanding is, the higher the score. it doesnt correlate whether the exam is easy or tough. so dont worry. your hard work will never fail you.

robbin u worked very hard..ans u have good understanding..I am sure u will pass with great scores..
Just wanted to know ..I am in my last month prep ...do u think FA is good in the last month ..should I memorie each and every thing in FA ...is this really help in the exam...

Robin, i know a friend of mine who took step 1 a while ago, when he came out he was sure he`d failed. you wanna know the score ? 98
remember, 10-20% of Q.s are investigational which do not count towards your final result.
keep your hopes high. God willing you`ll join the 99ers club soon. just hang in there buddy
