Hi
im very new to USMLE stuff.im trying to learn abt it as much as i can.
all i wanna know now is does it make any difference if i take exam inside India or from UNITED STATES?
i mean some people say required percentile/score is less if u take exam in America? is it any true?

I have heard that the exam is easier in certain places. Mainly i've heard it's easier in rural areas, and harder in the big cities. Of course no one really knows if there is truth to this!!!

nope...i heard a lot of that too...a difficult or easy exam depends on ur strengths and weaknesses too....and frankly speaking difficulty level according to location sounds like an excuse for introducing unnecessary complications into ur travel scheduele when u shud be concentrating on studying

dont worry abt it and take the exam where u r most comfortable...believe me , towards the end your nerves are killing u

thanx for all the help!
anyways lemme ask u im thinkin of joining Kaplan for step1 in New Delhi! shud i go ahead? or there is somethin better than it?
cuz i wanna take step 1 in jan next year!
so i wanna get into some institution which can help me and guide me!

kaplan's great..if u can afford it go ahead..! but make sure u have 200$ for their online q bank..( dunno if that will be part of the deal, i used the dvds and lectures)
