I just realised that not all the programs in California require a PTLA, California letter. Can we try applying to programs which donot ask for a letter with registering into california board. I guess there are a few programs that offer j1 visas.

there are no progs which will grant u and iview with ptal. u need to atleast show them reciept of application.. there are a couple of h1 progs too but frankly its not worth the 500bucks. and those j1 progs are highly competitive as every amg wants the sun and surf of cali.. id rather apply to 500bucks worth of ny progs and freeze in the winters..
