D was my first choice too.But it is wrong.Think of other conditions which give hypereosinophilia.

The ans is B. Addisons disease

From goljan;

causes of eosinophilia

1. type I hypersensitivity reaction

2.Parasitic diseases. invasive helminths ans larval phase of ascariasis, strongyloides, ancylostoma, trichinosis. Not- protozoal, pinwom or adult ascarisis.

3.Manlignant: CML, Hodgkins

4. Endocrine : Addisons

Associated with Loeffler endocarditis. AKA endomyocardial fibrosis with hypereosinophilia syndrome.

fibrosis is mediated by eosinophil ribonuclease and major basic protein.
