Hello,everyone. My name is Jake and I am also an IMG. I was told that if I want to get interviews in order to start doing rescidency in 2008 ,I have to clear step2 CS before March 2007.....Is it true?....Please reply me if you can....thus,I will be able to make an appropiate plan....Thank you in advance for every reply...and wish all of us getting residency positions...

hi jake, it is not so. but it is better to have all your results b4 september when you apply.(including step 3 if you want H1). visit usmle.org. you will know better

jake as ivil said its better to have ur ecfmg certificate before sept 1st as it takes about 4 wesk for the result to be declared and it takes some 2 weks for ecfmg to make ur certificate and adding in a 2 weeks for any unwanted delay so it maked 2 months so i wud say if u can atke ur last step by end of june or beinign of july it will be great.
( i dont have any gud info about step 3 timing)
