can anyone help me with the prob of genes cross linking,,,lod? how far apart are genes supposed to be?
more then 3 good chance of linking
-2 no linking
in between undeterminate
so they give you lod or you calculate?

LOD score is calculated on computers .for usmle purpose all we have 2 know is LOD score of 3 and above indicates linkage menas 2 genes or alleles are linked
if LOD score is -2 or below then non linkage is more likely than linkage
