A 19-year-old woman, prescribed a triphasic oral contraceptive for the first time one month ago, complains of frequent spotting. The MOST APPROPRIATE MANAGEMENT is to (A) increase the dose of oestrogen. (B) increase the dose of progestogen. (C) advise alternative contraception. (D) continue the medication and review in two months. (E) change to a biphasic pill.

The answer is C, I guess. patients who are taking any OCP can have spotting in the first month. However it can goes away when the OCP takes over the axis of hormone.
