56 yr old comes to physian coz of blood in urine.had nephrectomy 10yrs ago coz of injuries in a motor accident.tests show renal cell ca.IL 2 therapy started.3 wks later ct shows regression of tumour.which is most likey cause of regression.
A effect of IL 2 on tumour vascularization
b cytotoxic effects of IL 2 on tumor cells
c increased natural killer cell activity
d induction of b lymphocytes proliferation
e spontaneous remission

is it B or c
can anyone explain plz

The drug is Aldesleukin (IL-2 Analogon) and is used in Renal cell Carcinoma and metastatic melanoma

Aldesleukin is given to stimulate the body’s own defence mechanism to fight some types of cancer. The exact way in which it works is still not fully understood. However, it can stimulate white cells to recognise and destroy some cancer cells.

So the correct answer is C

Id think of NK cells as the main defense before IL2, any comments?
