hi!!
im a final year med student from kolkata.i will be giving final MBBS part2 in jan2005.i plan on giving MLE after that during internship.i wud like to give step1 from india and the remaining from the US.i dont have any relatives or acquaintances in the US.i want to know what type of visa shud i be applying for..will i get a visa just to go and give an exam?and stay there for the period till i get residency?im also planning on going on a loan so i need to know well in time so i can start preparing...

hi,Well u can get visa for wiriting csa and csk by applying for visitors visa which i valid for only 90 days and i think it is not possible for u to stay untill u get ur residency.For step 3 u have to either get j1 or h1b visa so that u can apply for residency once u pass step three.wish u all the best and good luck.
