for starters: it irreversibly acetylates platlet cyclooxygenase therefore decrease TXA2 until prod. of unmodified platlets from megakaryocyte precursors occurs. In general ASA doesnt decrease platlet, WBC, or H/H counts. Goodman & Gilman
