hi everyone, I am done with my step 2ck(241/97) and have been preparing for step 1 for a couple of months. I am taking my step 2 CS in september. for next 3 months i am doing research at an ivy league university.may get a good LOR too. so if i take my step 1 in november end will it be too late to get interviews for 2007 match? i will only be applying to university programs offering J1 visa... i would really appreciate if someone could guide me in this regard..

Might be or not be, it depends on the program per se.

So when will you be getting you USMLE certification? Will you have all your steps done in time for the ROL? Programs may not be willing to risk an interview without your score results - taking the test at the end of November - 6 weeks for results is January and you still need step 2 CK and CS. Good luck

Thank you bbb, I think i will have all my scores in by 15 december.I already have my step 2CK score(97/241).i am taking my CS on 18 september and step 1 before 15 november. I have started working on my application, have all the required documents.i graduated in august 2005. So do u think i still have a chance of getting decent interviews.i am applying for internal medicine and require J1visa and not H1.

From my personal experiences, by December 15th, my program director is pretty much done reviewing applications and 90-95% of my remaining interviews have booked.
